Torsional Spring

The torsion spring belongs to the category of spiral springs. Its ends are fixed to other components, and when those components rotate around the center of the spring, the spring pulls them back to their initial position, generating torque or rotational force. Torsion springs can store or release angular energy or statically fix a device by rotating the lever arm of the spring’s central axis. This type of spring is usually solid, but there is a pitch between the coils to reduce friction. They resist rotational or rotational external forces.

Material of torsion spring: SUS304-WPB (stainless steel) Operating temperature: -10 to 100 °C

Characteristics of torsion springs: Mitigate shocks, absorb vibrations (such as buffer springs in cars and trains, vibration-absorbing springs in couplings, etc.) Ability to control the motion of mechanisms, good formability, and uniform rebound (such as valve springs in internal combustion engines, control springs in clutches, springs in automatic machine tool cam mechanisms, etc.) Used as force measurement components (such as springs in force gauges and spring scales, etc.) Store energy, have a large elasticity, and exert a stable force (such as clock springs, gun bolt springs, and springs in automatic machine tool tool rest automatic return devices, etc.)
