Clamp Wholesale
What is the difference between groove connection and clamp connection?
Both are a type of connection method, generally used for pipes larger than DN80, using groove fittings for connection. Threaded fittings are included in the pipe quota, while groove fittings require a separate quota for each set of groove fittings.
They are two different names for the same method. The itemized quota for pipes executing groove connection already includes installation costs for fittings, with main materials accounted separately.
Groove fitting connection technology is also known as clamp connection technology. Groove connection fittings include two main categories of products:
- Fittings with sealing functions include rigid joints, flexible joints, mechanical tees, and groove flanges;
- Fittings with transition functions include elbows, tees, crosses, reducers, blind plates, etc.
