Connector Shrapnel

The processing methods for connector shrapnel sheets include surface treatment before coating, aimed at removing various foreign substances (such as oil stains, rust, dust, old paint films, etc.) adhered to the surface of the shrapnel, providing a good substrate suitable for coating requirements. This can ensure that the coating has good anti-corrosion performance, decorative performance, and certain functional characteristics, so the surface of the shrapnel sheet must be pre-treated before coating.

Manual processing, such as using scrapers, wire brushes, or grinding wheels, can remove rust and oxide from the surface of the shrapnel, but the drawbacks of manual processing are high labor intensity, low production efficiency, poor quality, and incomplete cleaning.

Chemical treatment refers to the use of chemical or electrochemical processes to create a stable compound layer on the metal surface. This includes the separate or mixed use of acid solutions, anodic dissolution (electrolysis), etc., for rust removal and uses phosphating, chromating, blackening, and anodizing to create a protective film on the metal surface.

Ion surface treatment involves ion beam mixing, where ions bombard metal coated with multi-layer films, causing the atoms of each layer to mix due to ion collisions, primarily used in metallurgical research. Ion implantation technology is utilized in integrated circuits and microelectronics.
